Kitchener, ON. – The Curieosity Student Leadership Conference 2014 presented by Mad Hatter Technology Inc. will be day dedicated to inspiration. An impressive line up of successful females leading careers in science, technology, engineering and technology (STEM) will share ideas, insights and personal stories, to help mentor, build confidence and curieosity in the next generation of young women.
Throughout the day more than 150 local female high school students in attendance will uncover how crimes are investigated with forensic science, discover the world of aerospace engineering, understand the importance of patents in biotechnology and learn how ColdFX was invented.
The goal of Curieosity is to build and strengthen the desire for young women in our community to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. We understand that more women are needed in these fields and thought The Curieosity Student Leadership Conference would be a great opportunity to showcase some of the incredible careers available in STEM by hearing first-hand from successful women in the industry and beginning the conversation with these young women.
The Curieosity Student Leadership Conference will be held on May 29 at The Tannery Event Centre, City Commercial Core, Kitchener, beginning at 8:30 a.m with breakfast and registration and closing at 3 p.m. following tours of Communitech.
