It seems the Internet is quite vocal when a brand introduces a new look. On May 11 Instagram, the popular online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking service, unveiled a new logo.

People did not hold back their opinions on social media, and outlets such as The New York Times referred to the Internet’s reaction to the new Instagram logo as a freakout. Buzz about the brand included many memes disapproving the new look.

If you share this sentiment and are not a fan of the new look you might be pleasantly surprised to learn about the hack to get the old icon back.
While many people were opposed to the change, others embraced the new flat and minimal design and continued with the #myinstagramlogo tradition, in which Instragram users recreate its logo and post photos of their interpretation.

The Internet has seen a lot of uproar over rebrands. Uber made headlines back in February when Uber updated its logo to make its brand easy to recognize, and when Airbnb released its new logo that resembled “ladyparts” in 2014, people were quick to comment.
Love it or loathe it, we are still big fans of Instagram, and think its more than 75 million daily Instagram users will continue to use the photo-sharing social network.
